As a mom of two lovely kids, I spent a lot of my time researching natural ingredients and all natural recipes. This is really important to me, because I don’t like the chemicals that are found in a lot of products. This means I try and make my own play dough (for kids), soaps, shampoos, bath bombs, body scrubs and my own beauty products. I feel that this has helped to keep my family healthy and comfortable, and so I prioritize this whenever I can, to ensure that everyone is happy and healthy.
It was in my quest to keep our home as healthy and as chemical free, that I discovered the secrets to keeping our pets healthy too. You see, I didn’t like bringing in all the chemicals used in flea shampoos, into our home.
With two dogs and a cat, life can get pretty smelly and itchy if we don’t keep them bathed regularly, but there was no way I wanted to keep bringing these chemicals in, especially with small children around.
With this in mind, I started to experiment with a few different recipes and ways of doing your own, at home grooming and using natural products. I will admit that, at first, I was more focused on keeping things natural for my kids. It wasn’t until I noticed the incredible effects on our pets that I decided to focus on keeping things natural for their sake too!
They seem to scratch less, get less skin irritation, less dandruff, and the do not smell as bad just after a few weeks without a bath- which is so great!
In last two years I perfected the recipes by tweaking and trying various combinations, now I feel confident that I can share it with the world as I know if you follow the recipes and ideas shared in this book, you will see a marked improvement in your pets.
